• Name, email, and phone/WhatsApp on contact, volunteer, donate, sponsor, or adoption interest forms.
• Email for newsletter or adoption alerts (with consent and email confirmation).
• Messages and details you write in forms (availability, motivation, inquiry topic, etc.).
• Basic technical server data (truncated or similar IP for security and abuse limits) and, when enabled, CAPTCHA signals.

We use your data to:

• Reply to inquiries and manage volunteer, adoption, sponsorship, or donation requests.
• Send the newsletter or available-cat alerts only after you confirm your email (double opt-in).
• Protect the site against spam and abuse (rate limits, honeypot, CAPTCHA).
• Comply with applicable legal obligations in Panama.

We process form data because it is needed to handle your request. Newsletter and adoption alerts rely on your explicit consent, confirmed by email. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

We keep messages as long as needed to manage the relationship and, where applicable, legal or security requirements. Pending subscriptions expire if not verified within the time stated in the email. You may request deletion of marketing data by contacting us.

We may use trusted providers for hosting, database, transactional email, and bot protection (for example, cloud services). They act on our instructions with reasonable security. Some may be outside Panama; in that case the provider’s usual contractual safeguards apply.
