Rescuing a cat is only the beginning. Our model accompanies every cat from arrival until we find the best path for their wellbeing and future.
Recover
Provide veterinary care, food, shelter, and a safe environment where they can recover physically and emotionally.
Reintegrate
Prepare each cat for the next stage, always prioritizing responsible, lasting adoption whenever possible.
Prevent
Promote sterilization, education, and responsible guardianship to reduce abandonment and improve feline wellbeing in Panama.
About us
More than a shelter—we are an opportunity
Fundación Gatuario is a Panamanian nonprofit, created in 2026 by people committed to improving the lives of homeless cats. We begin with a long-term vision: to build a serious, sustainable organization dedicated to feline wellbeing.
We are creating and will operate in Panama a Feline Care and Wellbeing Center unlike any other in the country—with private financing and a plan in development.
